DRE Profi

DRE Profi pairs a 50 mm interior door leaf with a concealed aluminum frame. The system is intended for a doorway that can blend into the surrounding wall, allowing the room’s surface treatment to continue across the door rather than end at a conventional visible trim assembly. Its aluminum frame is embedded in the opening and finished with masonry or drywall so the reveal remains visible while the frame body is concealed. The primed leaf can be painted or wallpapered to suit the interior. This approach makes Profi a useful option when the wall finish and door position are being designed together, especially where a passage should have a restrained presence within a larger architectural surface.

The collection includes non-rebated outward-opening and reverse-rebate inward-opening arrangements. Choose the movement according to the usable space on each side of the opening, while considering which face will align with the intended wall treatment. The 50 mm leaf thickness is part of the Profi construction and should be included when coordinating the frame and hardware. For a finish applied on site, the broad leaf faces are primed and ready for painting or wallpapering, with edges prepared to accept paint. DRE also lists a white UV acrylic lacquer version for a factory-finished surface. These alternatives let the leaf either follow the wall color or provide a defined white door face within the same concealed-frame concept.

Installation planning is central to this design. The frame needs to be set and finished as part of the opening before the final wall surface is completed. Its remaining visible reveal can then be painted to coordinate with the surrounding finish. Decide on the leaf treatment and opening direction at that stage so the door works with the wall detail and the room layout. DRE lists separate leaf and frame amounts for the 2043 and 2240 height families. Additional options include a ventilation undercut, an automatic drop seal, and an optional Silent 37 dB package that combines a drop seal with acoustic filling. The acoustic package is a separate configuration and should be specified by its complete contents when selected. Painting the primed version is completed on site unless a painted finish is ordered. Include that finishing step in the project schedule alongside the frame installation and wall work.
