DRE Volta 1

DRE Volta 1 places a broad glass surface within an MDF frame with 80 mm members. Its non-rebated construction and magnetic closing arrangement create a distinct type of interior doorway, with the glass and pull handle forming the main visible elements. The starting pane selection is transparent laminated glass at 6 mm. Other listed glass configurations change the panel’s appearance, including milky laminated glass and tempered dark gray or ribbed glass. Consider the pane and the surrounding frame together when deciding how much visual connection to retain between rooms. The door can provide a defined boundary while allowing the selected glass finish to determine whether the opening feels clearer, darker, or more screened.

The glass type must be specified for the selected configuration. The transparent laminated starting pane is different from the 6 mm dark gray and ribbed tempered-glass choices, and those alternatives have their own configuration amounts. Volta 1 is among the models for which ribbed glass is listed. DRE prepares the leaf for a pull handle, with Factor or Nomi handles purchased separately. The pull choice affects the visible metal detail and should be considered with the frame finish and glass. The magnetic closing arrangement does not provide regular-key, cylinder, or bathroom-lock options. Volta is therefore worth reviewing against the room’s access and privacy needs before the appearance alone determines the selection.

A two-leaf arrangement can be configured with the matching inactive 40-width-code addition. The inactive leaf has recessed-hinge preparation, a magnetic-lock strike, and two flush bolts. DRE notes that the paired leaves are drawn together by magnetic attraction rather than a fixed mechanical closure. That is an important distinction for an opening where a secure keyed closure or bathroom privacy lock would be required. The catalogue lists single-leaf codes from 60 through 100 and paired codes from 100 through 140. The leaves cannot be shortened. Confirm the finished opening dimensions and the selected glass before ordering, then include both leaves, the meeting detail, frame, and chosen pull handles in the complete paired assembly.
