Aliplast FR65 Fire-Rated Interior Door System
Aliplast FR65 Fire-Rated Interior Door System
The Aliplast FR65 Fire-Rated Interior Door System is an aluminum and polyamide system for interior doors. It uses 65 mm frame and sash depths and can be configured as a single- or double-leaf opening. For a project that calls for a fire-rated door, the key selection is the complete tested assembly: Aliplast lists EI30 and EI60 door configurations, and the classification applies only when the specified components are assembled in the corresponding tested build. The profile series alone does not assign a fire class to an individual door. Start by identifying the required opening, whether one or two leaves are appropriate, and how people need to use the passage. Then coordinate the desired visibility, infill, and hardware with a documented FR65 configuration that carries the required classification. A glazed leaf can maintain a view between adjoining areas, while a panel creates a more closed visual plane. In either case, the glass or panel is part of the specified door assembly rather than an interchangeable finish choice when fire performance is required. Aliplast’s listed system sizes reach 1400 × 2500 mm for a single leaf and 2690 × 2500 mm for a double leaf; these are system maximums, not the dimensions of a specific order.
Infill and Hardware for an FR65 Door
FR65 accommodates glazing from 17 to 25 mm and a 17 mm gypsum-filled panel. These alternatives support different visual needs: glazing maintains a sightline, while the gypsum-filled panel provides an opaque infill. The chosen infill must match the complete configuration when a fire classification is specified, so appearance, leaf arrangement, and tested construction should be considered together. Aliplast lists single-point and multi-point locks, electric strikes, and panic hardware among system options. These are possible hardware approaches for different access requirements, not a promise that every item is supplied with a door. The lock and release arrangement should be specified together with the way the opening is expected to operate, and any selected hardware must correspond to the applicable tested assembly. The single- and double-leaf maximum dimensions offer a reference when checking whether a proposed opening falls within the system’s published range; they do not mean every infill and hardware combination is available at the maximum. Keep the required fire class at the center of the selection, then settle the leaf count, glass or panel, lock and hardware, and dimensions as one coordinated specification. Any fire classification must be verified for the complete approved and tested door assembly.
